Policies / Expectations

At AwesomeMath Academy, we work with parents and students to create an atmosphere that promotes exemplary education, kind collaboration, and safety. We ask that you review our policies and help support a strong learning environment.

Code of Conduct

We require that every parent and student sign our Code of Conduct. It helps to set the expectations for a positive and collaborative learning environment, so parent support is critical to this process.

Code of Conduct forms:

Class Tuition Policy

Tuition must be paid in full to attend class. We do not prorate tuition for students who sign up late. We do not offer trial classes nor will we allow a student to attend and pay for specific dates of a class.

Refund Policy

A request to cancel enrollment in an AwesomeMath Academy class should be sent to alina@awesomemath.org. A refund will be processed within 10 business days of receiving the request to withdrawal. Our refund policy will depend on when the request is received:

Withdraw Request MadeREFUND FOR
Week before first day of class$395
After first class and before second$345
After second class and before third$245
After third classNo Refund
NOTE: The refund amounts per the table above are calculated based on the full price of tuition. Actual amounts refunded will reflect any discounts applied.

We do not offer credit toward future semesters if a student is unable to complete the duration of the their in-person class (or online course).

Parent Expectations

While classes are in session and during transition times, to keep the process as smooth as possible and make the most out of the time given, we ask parents who have questions to email us at alina@awesomemath.org instead of during the very busy drop off and pick up times.

Attendance Policy

To get the most out of the program, students are encouraged to attend every class. Attendance is monitored, so if your student must miss a session, please email alina@awesomemath.org and let us know.  If a student is unable to attend their regularly scheduled in-person class they can attend a different session, but only if space allows and proper notification is given (24 hours notice).

MakeUp Class Policy

We understand that sometimes a student must miss a class. In such an event, they will be able to get a copy of the problems from that day from their instructor.  Students who miss an online session are able to watch the recording of the session missed.

Drop Off/Pick Up Policy (Plano Location)

To maximize learning time and lessen disruptions, we ask that your student arrive 5 minutes before class and please pick them up promptly when class ends (other classes will start soon after). If you choose to wait in the waiting area, please be quiet and courteous while class is in session.

Late Pick Up Policy (Plano Location)

Our time and your time is valuable. If you are late to pick up your student, an additional fee will be incurred. These fees will begin five minutes after class has ended and are as follows:

  • If you are 6 to 15 minutes late, the charge is $15
  • If you are 16 to 30 minutes late, the charge is $30 and so on

Please let us know as soon as possible if you expect to be late.

Student Safety

In the interest of safety, students, when in our care, must adhere to the following:

  • Every student must sign in and sign out so we know when they are in our care
  • They are not to leave the building unless they are picked up by a parent
Inclement Weather Policy

There are times when we must cancel class during bad weather. If we need to cancel a class, we will send out an email right away, so please make sure that the email address you have on file is one that you check frequently. Classes canceled due to bad weather, will be held online using the same Zoom platform as used for office hours. If AwesomeMath Academy cancels class because the instructor is sick or unable to attend, the class will be rescheduled.
