What is AwesomeMath STEM Academy?

Founded by Dr. Titu Andreescu in 2014, the AwesomeMath Academy was designed to give talented middle school and high school students the opportunity to explore mathematics and physics beyond the school curriculum.

Program Structure:

  • AwesomeMath Academy offers live and asynchronous online classes
  • Live, instructor-led classes are taught once per weekend for 90 minutes (all lectures are recorded)
  • Students meet virtually for 12-weeks during the Fall and Spring
  • Students choose their classes and there is no application requirement to participate

Benefits to students include:

  • Improving performance in math and physics competitions
  • Strengthening problem-solving skills, a competency that is necessary to excel in STEM careers

The problem sets AwesomeMath provided were very high-quality. This allowed me to hone my skill in the topics I learned. If you have a deep passion for mathematics and/or looking to do well in math contests, then AwesomeMath is definitely the right program for you.

AwesomeMath has effectively taught me complicated methods for solving competition problems, even through a virtual environment. It’s a unique way of making difficult aspects of Algebra, Geometry, Combinatorics, and Number Theory seem easier to young mathletes. The content is of just the right difficulty, providing facts and formulas, and many practice problems. Thanks to AwesomeMath, my competition skills have significantly improved.

What is AwesomeMath Academy? – Frequently Asked Questions

Founded by Dr. Titu Andreescu in 2014, the AwesomeMath Academy is a Fall and Spring semester based program offering live, instructor-led virtual classes for talented middle and high school students. Classes meet once per weekend for 12-week semesters, covering mathematics and physics beyond the school curriculum. No application is required to participate.

The Academy has no application requirement and classes meet once per weekend over 12-week semesters. For the Academy, we offer math classes that start at a lower level of difficulty and at a less intensive pace.The Summer Program requires an admission test and features intensive daily classes during summer sessions. The Academy offers more flexibility for year-round learning.

Math: Problem Solving Fundamentals and Beginner Problem Solving 1 (MATHCOUNTS/AMC 8), Novice Problem Solving 2 (AMC 8-10/12), Intermediate Problem Solving 3 (AMC 10/12-AIME), Advanced Problem Solving 4 (AIME-USAMO/JMO)

Any middle or high school student can enroll – no application needed! Review our readiness page, sample problems and course catalog to determine your appropriate course level. If you are unsure about the appropriate level after reviewing the above, contact us at admin@awesomemath.org .

Simply choose your course(s) from our catalog, select your semester and session time, complete the student information form, and pay tuition online. Enrollment periods are communicated on our website.

Yes! Students can enroll in multiple courses. You’ll receive a 10% discount when enrolling in 2 or more courses in the same purchase by August 31st each year.

Check our tuition rates page for current pricing. A 10% discount automatically applies when you enroll in 2 or more courses in the same purchase (including siblings or courses across different semesters) by August 31st each year..

Refunds depend on timing:

  • More than 1 week before first class: Full tuition minus 5% administrative fee and any discounts received
  • Week before first class through after first class: Partial refunds available
  • After third class: No refund

Contact alina@awesomemath.org to request a cancellation. Refunds are processed within 10 business days.

Classes meet once a week  (Friday, Saturday or Sunday) for 90-minute sessions over 12 weeks. Multiple time slots are available. All classes are recorded, so if you miss a session, you can watch the recording and stay caught up.

Just a computer, internet connection and a gmail address or Google account! All teaching materials are included in your tuition – no books or additional materials required.
