2026 AwesomeMath Academy
"AwesomeMath is possibly the best math program I've been to in my entire life. It teaches you so many different topics, dovetailing seamlessly from one to another each week. The teachers are extremely knowledgeable and are able to skilfully explain complicated concepts. Problems are from past olympiads and provide valuable enrichment to the content taught in class."
Koji T. (Australia)
"When I first started AwesomeMath, I hadn't fully experienced a comprehensive course-based learning system for competition math. But by taking two semesters each of the Level 3 and Level 4 Problem Solving classes, my understanding of math fundamentally changed. I was exposed to so many more ideas, concepts, and tactics to solve problems that I had never even dreamed of, and I felt that my math horizons had exploded outwards. But more importantly, the problems provided to me during and after the classes were deeply insightful in a way I wasn't aware was possible. I spent more time doing these problems than any other problems before because they were so different from the fast-paced questions of competitions like the AMC, and they were really well-selected to teach me a lot just by thinking through them. This process was truly rewarding, and combined with the outstanding teaching, I got a much more fundamental appreciation of math for its beauty, rather than just learning new tricks to solve problems quickly. Thank you to AwesomeMath for changing the way I thought about math, collaboration, problem solving, and deep thinking. It's been incredibly rewarding to be a part of."
Joseph Z. (Maryland)
"I really enjoyed the AwesomeMath program, as it pushes me to think at a higher level then I may expect from myself. I've been doing this course for around 3 years now, and I have been immersed in all their books (which have been overflowing my bookshelf!), summer programs, and year-long classes. In fact, last summer, I was bedridden with Episten-Barr Virus during the session of my Awesomemath class. Instead of having to drop out, my class was very kindly moved to a later session which I could take once I recovered, which I'm very grateful for. Thank you AwesomeMath!"

2022-24 AwesomeMath Academy
"The classes are challenging but very inspiring. I like how the instructor encourages us to think about and come up with a strategy step by step. It also introduced rigrous proofs which is very helpful for higher level math."
Kelly L. (Texas)
"Well, this program has been very usefull for my learning (I'm using my dad's computer). When I started this class, the resources were very useful and I review almost everyday. My math skills have greatly improved over this course."
Jialong L. (Illinois)
"This program has been a fantastic learning experience! The instructors are knowledgeable and supportive, making the lessons both fun and educational. I gained valuable skills that I can use in the future, and I would highly recommend this course to anyone looking to grow and learn."
Amy X. (California)
"This class taught me how to improve my problem solving skills, teaching me new concepts and helping me learn to apply them to difficult problems. The course was quite difficult, but I learned much more from the harder problems than the easier ones. One lesson that I particularly enjoyed was about Algebraic Numbers. This was a completely new concept for me, but the instructor did a great job explaining abstract definitions, theories, and problems involving groups, fields, rings, algebraic numbers, and algebraic integers. Another novel concept for me was the lesson on Symmetric Polynomials. This lesson taught us about Elementary Symmetric Polynomials as well as the Fundamental Theorem of Symmetric Polynomials. We learned about Newton's sums, an extremely useful application of symmetric polynomials. I could not have learned these concepts on my own, and the teacher did a great job of rigorously proving each theory, as well as explaining the motivation behind each of his steps.
The online environment worked very well for me. The whiteboard that the teacher used to explain concepts and classwork was extremely beneficial to me. Another benefit of the online learning environment is that all of the notes were posted on Google Classroom, so I could always go back and refer to them if I got stuck on a homework problem.
One thing that future students could benefit from is knowing that the lessons include many difficult olympiad/TST problems, so they should know that even though they might not solve every problem, all of the problems will teach them a lot, whether it is about a new concept or problem solving skills. It is a very fun class that students can learn a lot about."
Daniel C. (Massachusetts)
"The AwesomeMath Academy this year helped me not only on learning new concepts, but also on my problem solving skills. In general, many very important topics were presented in class and example problems were also done during the class time. I felt like this was very helpful as we could get examples and see how someone would apply these concepts to solve challenging problems. We also got to discuss the problems with each other which also helped us see different thought processes and points of view. It teaches us that there are many ways to look at and approach the same problem. After class, the additional homework problems and the problem set were all very helpful. Each of the problems was very well chosen in my opinion and had the right difficulty range to test us to the best of our abilities. For example, in geometry, we were learning about the relationship between complex numbers and geometry and also about vector geometry. The material was taught well in class and then after that, we discussed about a few problems related to these topics. We then worked on problems that really challenged us to think for a while on how to apply complex numbers and vectors to these problems. Overall, I think it was a great experience and really enhanced my problem solving skills. This academy really showed me that there's always more to explore in mathematics."
Bennett H. (Virginia)
"Awesome Math improved my knoweldge by introducing new topics I had not learned before, such as AM-GM-HM and Ceva's theorem. The course also went into greater depth on topics I had previously learned, such as Stewart's theorem, Binomial theorem and Chinese remainder theorem. I definitely recommend this course - it is challenging and will meet you at your level. The instructor also has a great sense of humor. "
Jack D. (Massachusetts)
"AwesomeMath was a truly awesome math course! The instructor was fantastic, and explained a lot of the concepts in detail. I was taught many topics in Algebra, Number Theory, Combinatorics, Geometry. I loved the way that the curriculum was structured. I was first given information needed to solve problems. Then I was given example problems. By learning this way, I learnt how to use the concept better, as I would make mistakes solving the problems, and I would also learn how to apply the theorems that I learned in class. The homework for this class helped me understand the topics taught in class better, even though it was difficult. These hard problems typically had a small observation which made the problem much easier. By doing these problems and looking at the solutions, I could learn what I can do next time when I get another problem like these homework problems. Overall, I was blown away by the quality of this course. It improved my math skills a lot."
Brendon W. (Washington)
"My class increased my knowledge in math because it taught me helpful skills. For example, in the first two weeks, I boosted my probability skills in class. Then, I got introduced to a bit of geometry in week ten and eleven when I learned about circles and tangency. Once I learned more about these subjects, I became better at solving problems because this class taught me how to do those kinds of problems. This course also had some fun. In my last week, we learned about game theory, which was very interesting to learn. I hope I can do another course in AwesomeMath soon."
Derek W. (Washington)
"The Awesome Math Class helped me think outside the box with their complex problems that they had me solve each week. This class helped me develop a better understanding of Algebraic thinking and Geometric concepts. Mr. Patrick (my math teacher) was interactive and thoroughly taught the concepts until we had a good understanding of the material. Mastery was a rewarding feeling throughout this 12 week course. During this math class I felt more and more confident in my overall knowledge of the topics taught. Even though the course spanned over three months, each week I learned an important skill and got a good grasp on the material. Prepping for a math competition has become so much easier after taking this course."
Lucas S. (Florida)
"During the spring semester, I was fortunate to participate in twelve Level-3 Problem Solving math classes, where I gained exposure to a diverse range of mathematical concepts and techniques. Each 90-minute session provided me with invaluable knowledge and an array of techniques. The online format did not hinder my active participation in problem-solving and consistent practice, which enabled me to acquire new skills and knowledge. The homework and problem sets were thoughtfully designed, with a balance of easy, medium, and hard problems, allowing me to apply the skills I learned in class to solve complex problems from esteemed contests such as AIME, USAMO, and IMO. The online learning environment was highly conducive to my learning style, and the instructor's detailed explanations before problem-solving were highly beneficial. I also appreciated the teacher's efforts in posting class recordings and whiteboard material in the Google Classroom after class, allowing us to review the materials later. In summary, I am thoroughly satisfied with my experience with AwesomeMath Academy's course, and the program has significantly contributed to my mathematical development."
Joshua W. (California)
"This class covered many topics in Algebra, Geometry, Number Theory, and Combinatorics. For example: conditional probability, arithmetic functions, cross sections, and sequences. The problem sets for each class have different levels of difficulties which can effectively check my understanding of what I learned from class and give me the opportunities to challenge myself. "
Kehan C. (Massachusetts)
"This physics class was the first formal class I've had about physics. I learned a lot about kinematics, forces, newton's law, gravitational forces, energy, work, friction, angular kinematics, torque, and a few other topics. This was my first time learning about all these, and I've already practiced a bit in my free time about everyday life such as calculating the force multiplier by which your legs bear when running. I also took the F=ma competition and the class really helped me with some of the problems I don't think I would have gotten otherwise. One of my favorite problems was when we were assigned to calculate the mass of the sun using the gravitational law, g, and the gravitational constant: G. It really amazed me on how mathematics and physics, despite seemingly being a construct made by humans, are the underlying universal language that governs everything in our lives. The instructor was great and the teaching assistants were really helpful with their feedback."
Ling X. (Illinois)
"This class is not only limited to contest problems and the formulated way to solve problems, it also enhanced my application skills in real life because some problems are used in real-life situations. For example, when we learned about gravitation, Dr. B gave us some real gravitational facts around earth and we needed to use those facts to solve problems -- which is really fun! There are also a lot of useful formulae in the class notes; so if I am preparing for the f=ma contest, those formulae can help me succeed by saving my time and applicable to most of the kinematic problems!"
Zirun Y. (Georgia)
"My instructor, Dr. M.Tip Phaovibul, was amazing. He was able to break up complicated results (proof of the algebraic integers forming a ring, Gauss' Lemma, Law of Quadratic Reciprocity) into small pieces that were clear and easy to follow. He was entertaining and engaging, making it easy for me to stay focused during class. The course was also organized very well in an online setting. Each week, solutions to the previous week's homework, the homework for the current week, the recorded lecture, the instructor's written notes, and around fifteen additional problems were posted in the google classroom."
Channing Y. (Texas)
"AwesomeMath's online class really helped me learn and understand problems in number theory, geometry, and algebra that would also be relevant in helping me with competitions like the AMC 12. I was able to learn so much because the instructor was helpful and I could ask questions outside of class that would be responded to quickly. It didn’t really feel online because the classes were so interactive and the instructor would take questions from everyone. What truly helped me was the problem sets that were given to us–even though we only had a few questions for homework, there were 10-20 questions on the topic that were posted. AwesomeMath let me enjoy math classes for the first time."
Jessica Q. (New York)
"Patrick McClintock is my teacher. Novice Problem Solving - L2 is my course. My teacher is the best one I have. He is so clear and so detail about all the topics. He grades all the homework and add details about mistakes I made. I leant a lot and I feel like I am able to solve lots math problems. I fell very confident and I will move forward to level 3 in the next academic year. In the meantime, I am participating the summer program."
Michael Z. (New Jersey)
""My experience this semester was excellent! I learned new methods and rules to help me solve math problems faster than the methods I knew. I learned the law of equal tangency, which is one way to find out line segments’ lengths without having to calculate them. I also learned how to use casework without just doing trial and error. This is beneficial because I need to use faster methods for math competitions. Also, faster methods help me avoid mistakes. When I have questions about the homework, Mr. Patrick is always helpful and kind. Instead of giving me the answers, Mr. Patrick gives me ideas that I can work with to solve the problem. I am looking forward to next semester's class! ""
Sebastian L. (Texas)
""I am a 7th grade student in Chicago who has been taking AMC 8 and 10 for a few years. I have been taken some other online and in person math programs. By far, Awesome math is the best program I attended so far.
The material covered is well organized by the levels and subjects. Our teacher Mr. MTip is able to explain a complex math problem in a very intuitive and interesting way. 75 mins classes always feel passing by quickly. The classroom is not only informative, but also fun. I enjoyed Mr. MTip sharing some of his early Math learning stories as well. These stories telling blended with rigorous course material make my learning experience more memorable.
I feel I learned a lot over the course of 12 weeks program. More important, my Math interest sparks further, which encourages me to continue learning math on my own time. I am also super excited that I am accepted for this year’s Awesome math summer programs and registered for a couple of courses already. I am eager to join back in summer to know and meet some old and new friends.
Thanks for making this program available online so students like me can benefit from virtually anywhere!""
Edward J. (Illinois)
"We are so grateful for the opportunity to enroll our child in this high-quality online math class, which has been invaluable in preparing them for math competitions. The well-designed topic problems are unlike anything we've seen elsewhere, and the clear, engaging instruction has made learning math truly enjoyable. The 1.5 hour class length strikes the perfect balance between being long enough to learn new concepts and not so long that our child loses focus. Most importantly, these courses have inspired our child and greatly broaden their horizons in math. We couldn't be happier with our experience and highly recommend these classes to any parent looking to help their child succeed in math competitions."
Yiming Z. (New York)
"I loved the experience. I learned a lot of new things, such as geometric probability, arithmetic functions and 3d Geometry. These topics were new to me, but I was still able to get a lot from the classes, in school I was also discussing them with my teachers and friends. I really enjoyed the experience to be "near" people from other countries and also learn more math-related english. The teacher was always answering my e-mails and helping me go towards my goals. I also believe that having this on-line experience with people from all around the globe was awesome."
João S. (Brazil)
"The AwesomeMath Combinatorics Class has helped me solve counting problems from the fundamentals by illustrating how each concept is interconnected. We discussed powerful tools like the linearity of expectation, generating functions, and state analysis, which further showed me the beauty and elegance of mathematics. The class managed to be extremely engaging even when held online, as we could go through problems in breakout rooms and share our thoughts in class."
Robert C. (Texas)
"This class taught me a lot of new things in math! I really enjoyed the problem sets! They were in order of difficulty, so I could pick which problems I wanted to do, and the solutions were written in a clear, understandable way. After going through this course, I had more tools at my disposal. One which I ended up using a lot was Ceva's and Menelaus's theorem. Awesome Math has made learning in an online environment as good, if not better than a live experience. I loved the courses I took and highly recommend this to anyone willing to try!"
Tanish S. (Utah)
"Physics Level 1 was a great introduction into competition physics and Dr.Branislav's organized notes and teaching style was instrumental in helping me understand the concepts. I was able to learn basic kinematics, laws of conservation, work and energy, angular motion, rolling, and moment of inertia. The physics was presented in a comprehensive yet easy to understand way, allowing me to derive and comprehend formulas discussed in class. I also liked the fact that famous physicists like Kepler, Galileo, Einstein, Newton, and Hubble were discussed in order to better understand the history of physics. It was a very enjoyable class and I highly recommend taking it to start your road towards the F=ma competition or AP Physics."
Abhilash J. (New York)
"To be frank, at first I did not think the competition physics course would benefit me a lot as I knew I wouldn’t be able to attend many of the classes due to my busy schedule. However, upon registering for the course, I realized that the plethora of recourses and the support they gave to me are immensely helpful. The detailed notes and the homework sets helped me improve a ton in physics competitions. For example, I was having a hard time comprehending the conceptual reasoning behind many of the characteristics in two dimensional kinematics. But after studying them further using the materials available to me from the course, I began to fully understand them. These conceptual knowledge I learned helped me significantly in difficult physics problems where deep problem solving techniques were required. Although I suspected that the online environment might make the class difficult to commit to at first, that assumption turned out to be untrue as the physics content were highly enjoyable. Overall, I am glad that I took this class and I am excited to take the next sequence next year as well :)"
Jacob L. (Minnesota)
"I learned a lot from these lessons. For example, I learned what a polynomial is and how to work around 3d geometry. These lessons were also engaging because sometimes there would be something funny or a good and interesting question would appear or would just be asked out. The instructor (Mr. Patrick) also explained the material well and often asked mind-using questions, which I thought that made sense and made it more clear, and engaging. You can share this review on your website, I'm fine with that. :)"
Daniel C. (Texas)
"I took the Novice Problem Solving - Spring 2023, and it was GREAT! This class helped me further deepen my knowledge in every single important subject in math. This class teach me about Sigma, and Tau, to Geometric Probability and Vieta's Relations. My teacher explained everything so clearly and well, and if anyone had a question, if they asked, he would always be so kind, and always answer it. Also if anyone asked for him to scroll up, or wait a second so they could take notes, he would always do it. Also on every single homework, he always said that if anyone had a question, or was stuck on a problem on the homework set, they could always email him, and he would try to give them a boost. My instructor always responded to every email, and was super helpful in those emails! My instructor went above and beyond to make sure that we understood all the topics, and I'm sure all the other instructors would do the same! Even though my course was online, I learned a lot because of the kindness of my instructor. If this is how amazing an online class was at Awesome Math, I can't even imagine how amazing an in person class would be at Awesome Math. I will definitely be taking another course here at Awesome Math."
Eli L. (California)
"The Novice Problem Solving course I took covered topics like algebra, number theory, probability, and geometry. The lesson on primes was very thorough and covered enough of the material for me to get a grasp on it easily despite not being overly familiar with the topic. The lessons on conditional probability and geometric probability were very interesting and explored entirely new topics that I had never covered in school before. Although some of the problems were tricky, such as the Two-child Paradox, the lecturer's explanation was very helpful and provided insight into how probability worked. Overall, I think that the lessons on polynomials, roots, and Viete's relations were the most useful to me since they gave me more applications for methods I had previously learnt in school. This course was very beneficial to me because it helped me develop my number sense and intuition when it comes to AMC level problems. The online environment did not pose a problem since my instructor was very helpful and easy to reach out to. He made it very convenient to ask for help even outside of class hours."
Christina Y. (Georgia)
"The AwesomeMath Academy Program helped me improve my problem solving skills and understanding in Algebra, Geometry, Number Theory, and Combinatorics. The lectures given by our teacher, Mr. McClintock, were really well explained. For example, I used to struggle with determining whether a problem involves conditional probability or not, but his clear explanation on multiple variations of the Two-Child Paradox cleared that up for me. After the lecture, we would be assigned to answer three specific problems in the problem set given to us. However, I found myself trying more than those three, as I enjoyed applying what I’ve learned to more challenging problems I wouldn’t normally be able to solve. I also liked how the classes are now held online and are more accessible to students from other countries like me. Overall, I found this experience to be highly beneficial to me, and I would definitely recommend this course to all students interested in learning more about topics typically covered in math contests."
Denise C. (Philippines)
"When I first learned of AwesomeMath, I was excited to learn higher-level math. However, upon researching more about it, I was hesitant due to the time difference. When I consulted my parents, they thought the same thing, and we held off from enrolling for a time. However, once I found out more about it, I insisted on joining because I felt like it would help me a lot. Seeing the course catalog and researching on the topics beforehand really helped me understand the benefits of this training. One thing that stuck to me a lot was when my instructor taught Parity. At first, I was confused why that was the main focus of the lecture notes. However, as he continued to explain, I really felt amazed at how the concept was expanded and could be used effectively in certain situations. Impressed, I couldn’t sleep from excitement. After the first class, I knew that I had made the right choice, and I felt like I had learned a lot. After this positive experience, I chose to enroll again. Even with the struggles of the time difference leading the classes to be in the middle of the night for me, I was never sleepy, and I was always engaged with the teacher being so lively and the lesson being interesting. It was never an obligation for me to wake up at midnight just to join, but rather I was very excited every week. With my experiences in two batches of AwesomeMath, I’m looking forward to the coming summer class because I’m sure I’ll be learning a lot."
Micah D. (Philippines)
"Novice Problem Solving helped me a lot by advancing my ability in mathematics. Not only did this class accommodate to my needs, but it provided me with the necessary articles to do even better. My teacher was very open and he was open to emailing and me asking about problem sets. I really benefited from the geometry and probability lessons because I had struggled in the past with it. I also enjoyed the variety of topics covered, such as sequences, geometry, number theory. They covered a lot of while giving us a good amount of information."
Divya J. (New York)
"The L2 problem solving class was very detailed, and it covered a lot of scope in depth. I was blown away by the quality of all the lectures and materials. All 4 of the general topics (geometry, algebra, number theory, probability/counting) were covered with detailed lecture notes and problem sets, with class recordings available. The content in AwesomeMath classes are presented to you in a very clear way, and you get to work on practice problems as well. What sets AwesomeMath apart from other competition math tutoring institutes is that they teach you the method and logic behind the solution, and they make it applicable to other problems as well. Mr. McClintock, the instructor for the L2 problem solving class, was very clear in his teaching, which I liked, because it made it easy for me to understand all the solutions, and apply them as well. Everything in the online environment was set up well, and the organized google classroom definitely helped my learning experience. This competition math class was BY FAR the best one I've taken, and I would definitely recommend to anyone!"
Katie C. (Arizona)
"Overall, I found the Novice Problem solving course extremely enjoyable. The course not only improved my knowledge of topics like Viete’s relations and sequences but also taught me new topics like arithmetic functions and cyclic quadrilaterals. I think the lecture and problem set structure of the course is very beneficial because it teaches you not how to plug in formulas, but how to actually problem solve. Furthermore, this course also helped me with other problem solving competitions like USACO. The scope of the topics covered in the course is quite broad, but my favorites (out of both the fall and spring) were geometric probability and cyclic quadrilaterals. In terms of the learning environment, I really liked the teacher, Patrick McClintock, and I thought it was nice how if I was ever confused, I could always look back at the lecture. Additionally, we usually went over difficult problems in the following class and the methods used to solve them. I really liked this class and am definitely considering doing Awesome Math Academy next year."
Michael J. (Maryland)
"This class has helped me improve in number theory, modular arithmetic, geometry, sequences, and more. The sets have helped me improve drastically in AMC 10, and the teachers have been extremely supportive and inclusive. I think I am prepared to enter AIME next year thanks to the preparation Awesomemath has provided me with. "
Wilson P. (California)
"I loved the AwesomeMath course I took and I would definitely recommend it. Instead of teaching only about "how" certain formulas or strategies work, I was teached "why" the formula or strategy worked, which made me more interested in the topic. My teacher, Mr. McClintock, was very helpful. He gave attention to every student, answering every question we had, and explaining the answer in detail. The problem sets AwesomeMath provided were very high-quality. This allowed me to hone my skill in the topics I learned. If you have a deep passion for mathematics and/or looking to do well in math contests, then AwesomeMath is definitely the right program for you."
Vikrant C. (California)
"Every class started out with easy concepts, but finished with things that I needed to read again afterwards to really understand. Vieto equations, for example, looked easy to use when they were in front of me during the class, but then when it was time for the homework, they were escaping me somehow. It was nice that the homework had a lot of extra problems, allowing me to practice more to get more comfortable with the concepts."
Maya S. (Texas)
"The most fun part of this course was definitely the problem sets provided in the assignments and the notes. They were really challenging and fun to solve at the same time. Going through the notes helped me get a better and different view to the problems and really helped in solving the problems in the assignment, and almost every single problem of every week was really fun to go through and solve. I think on the top of my mind I remember a problem in which a soccer ball is kicked and it bounces of two walls and that one was fun to do. There were various other problems like the ballistic pendulum I think, which was connected by a rope in one case and a stick in another, which was great as well."
Aayaam P. (India)
"AwesomeMath's AP Physics 1 class was phenomenal for the short term we had- I learned a lot about physics under a really talented instructor who went above and beyond in his help to students. In fact, I did AMSP last summer and my experience was no different. The great instructors and quality of handouts and problems makes AwesomeMath truly awesome for AP and competition prep."
Ranay D. (California)
"I like Mr. McClintock's teaching style. In his lecture, he always give us time to think and try to solve problems first. That is really strengthen my capability of problem solving."
Athena W. (Iowa)
"Ever since my son has taken the awesome math course, he has been more interested in non- routine math more than ever. He has seen a spike in the AIME mock tests too. He has even qualified AMC 10B this year. He has improved his skills in number theory, Geometry, number Theory, Algebra and combinatorics. Awesome math has given challenging problems which helped him to improve his skills more than ever. The online experience was just as good as any offline class. Awesome math has given 3 sets of worksheets which helped my son to understand the concept properly. I highly recommend awesome math classes if you would want to improve your math skills and succeed in AIME and USAM\O"
Suneetha E. (India)
"The Level 3 Intermediate Problem Solving class taught by Mr. Phaovibul was very helpful in developing my combinatorics skills. As combinatorics is not my strongest subject, learning course material such as PIE and geometric probability helped me understand better how to approach combinatorics problems in different ways. I found the online environment engaging as it was easier to communicate my ideas and answers to the teacher."
Kayden Z. (Texas)
"Many varying but also interconnected topics were presented in the mathematics course that I took (L4). In the first few weeks, we learned many different theorems such as Ceva-Menelaus and Desargues. We then moved on to algebra topics such as inequalities, and finally ended with combinatorics. Many problems were made by the AwesomeMath staff or were found from olympiad competitions. It was very beneficial to me to learn a lot of new material and math competition applications. The online environment did not affect much of my learning and the teacher was still very supportive and persevering."
Alex W. (Missouri)
"I learned many things from this class. What helped me the most was Absolute value. (The 8th class in our semester.) We learned how to compute absolute values, before I took this class, I was confused on absolute value. I understood what you were supposed to do, the absolute value of -3 is 3, but I didn't understand why It was like that. Also, I couldn't solve multiple absolute values in one problem. At the end of the class, I understood absolute values! I think the most interesting class was the last class, in the last class we were talking about game theory. We were in breakout rooms for a while. I think I learned quite well in the breakout rooms, I would like the teachers to make more breakout rooms and pop into our breakout room more, so we would get more feed back. This also helped me improve my AMC8 scores. Overall, I think this is a great class and I would highly recommend anyone who wants to learn more math this class!"
Daniel C. (Texas)
"AwesomeMath is one of the best math programs out there! The instructors will make sure that all the classmates understand the lesson and answer individual questions you may have. The rigorous homework with varying difficulties helps cultivate my understanding of each topic. I have greatly improved my mathematical skills in just a handful of classes."
Sola M. (Hawaii)
"I liked Patrick's lecture especially the geometry part. His solutions to the geometry problems are concise and beautiful. I learned how to write demonstration step by step without any unnecessary word."
Kryos W. (Iowa)
"I really enjoyed the "Intermediate: Problem Solving 3" class. It increased my knowledge in various topics that I struggled with. For example, week 11 and 12 classes, "Arithmetic Functions Part 1 and 2", helped me understand more complex functions and proof statements. I learned that knowing such functions are very beneficial in otherwise tedious number theory questions. The teacher tried hard to make sure that everyone was following along, and the online environment made it much easier to communicate with the teacher as I could send a quick private message to him. I'm looking forward to taking more Awesome Math classes in the future."

"I already had a basic understanding of physics from my normal classes, but the Level 2 F=ma class expanded this foundation and took it in completely new directions. We learned how to use simple concepts like kinematics in very involved and difficult problems, and we also touched some areas that I have never encountered before, like buoyancy. My favorite section was the one over Kepler's laws and gravitation – as an amateur astronomer, it was enjoyable to see our formulas and equations translated into the actions of celestial bodies.Throughout all these tough problems, Dr. Kisacanin still kept the class fun, introducing fun topics like recent breakthroughs in physics and a final lesson on the dual-nature of light. "AwesomeMath has effectively taught me complicated methods for solving competition problems, even through a virtual environment. It's a unique way of making difficult aspects of Algebra, Geometry, Combinatorics, and Number Theory seem easier to young mathletes. The content is of just the right difficulty, providing facts and formulas, and many practice problems. Thanks to AwesomeMath, my competition skills have significantly improved."

"I took the beginner's problem solving spring course in AwesomeMath. This improved my knowledge in problem solving because it taught me how to solve problems using topics I had already learnt before and few topics that are newer to me. I also learnt about small keywords to look out for while solving problems, that tell me what I should apply while solving it. Being in India, I am glad that there was the option of online classes, even though there was a time difference. After this course, I am able to solve problems more easily and can also think of different ways or methods to solve it."

"So, this spring I finished the second part of problem solving skills for beginners. I really enjoyed it as much as I enjoyed the first part last fall. In the second part, we reviewed some of the things we did last fall and we learned more about divisibility and decimals. Then we moved on to factoring expressions and squares which was hard but very interesting. We also had some classes on geometry, my favorite subject, where I learned about tangents and inscribed angles in circles. These were some of the best classes. We also had classes on absolute values and on game theory and this was the first time I ever heard about these.
The course helped me learn some new things that I had never seen before. I was also able to understand better some of the things we had done last fall. For example, I now understand better the rules of divisibility and also how to solve problem with decimals that repeat. In geometry, we learned how to measure angles in circles and how to use the tangents to help us measure angles in a circle.
I really liked all the things I learned. I liked that we reviewed some things we had done and also learned some new ones. Our teacher Mr. Patrick is very good at explaining things. I also like how he teaches the course. First he explains in class the ideas, then we all solve some problems together and then we have more problems for homework. He always answers our questions clearly. One other thing that I like is that the class is recorded and I can always watch it again, if I want to hear something again.
I am very happy I took the class. It is interesting and has taught me a lot. I want to move to problem solving 2 next year."

"Taking an Awesome Math class was an amazing experience for me. It increased my love for problem-solving and helped me remember why I find math so beautiful in the first place. In particular, I enjoyed the lessons taught on graph theory and coloring arguments because I ended up using a lot of what I had learned in proof problems I did outside of the class. I also loved learning about Lucas sequences and the primitive divisors theorem in the second semester. It was a really cool revelation when everything tied in together at the very end. The problem sets were also very helpful; solutions were extremely detailed. They were a great way to review what had been taught in class. Many of the in-class examples we did were from Putnam, USAMO, or even IMO. The advanced level of problems was perfect for the rigor of the class. The most valuable thing I gained from this course was a new perspective of looking at problems. My approach changed, and I learned a lot about where certain proofs come from and why they are useful. I especially liked the teaching style and format of the class. Even though we were in an online environment, my questions were always answered immediately. I cannot wait to take another Awesome Math course in the future!"

"The spring semester of level three math was very challenging. Not all concepts were completely new to me, but they were generalized and the problems which came with them had more cases to list. I am thinking in particular about the inclusion-exclusion principle which was covered during the study of probability. I had seen the idea before but in much simpler problems - here, I had to be patient and careful when working through the calculations. There were concepts I had never heard of such as multiplicative functions. I think I need to see more of their applications in number theory in order to appreciate them, but now I know they exist and are important. The homework was manageable and the clues given by the teacher always helped me find at least a partial solution. I really liked that we were given time to work on some problems in class, i feel it is good to be able to think even a little bit about how to even begin a problem, before you are guided through a solution. I am also glad that the recordings of the lessons were available. Sometimes I had to listen to a lecture a few times before I understood everything. If you are thinking of taking this class, you will be challenged, there is no way around it."

"Awesomemath has truly provided me with a great experience. From the awesome teachers, to the engaging lessons, to the challenging homework, Awesomemath improved me and taught me things beyond what my current school curriculum was teaching me. Thank you Awesomemath, for all you have done to me and the mathmatical community!"

"I took level one math with Mr.Patrick. I liked the lessons. Some of the lessons I already knew. Some lessons were new - for example the angles in circles and the tangents. But Mr. Patrick explains very well, and I was able to do the entire problem set every week. I like that we can ask him questions and ask for hints. I feel good about this level and I want to do level 2."

"Everything was amazing in my opinion. I loved the way awesome math classes gives us challenging problems. Even though i was familiar with few of the concepts, the problem level was tough. This helped me to improve my problem solving ability from AMC to AIME. These classes give you a handout, 2 problem set with solution which gives us the perfect resource for problem solving and theory. In the spring classes we learnt most of the topics from number theory, Algebra, Number Theory. The teachers were really amazing in teaching the concept and the online classes what the teacher took was just like an offline class. Last but not the least, I was able to improve my AIME score in mock tests from 3-4 to 7-8 within 1-2 months. I really thank awesome math academy for making such a wonderful course."

"This class solidified my introductory background to physics in both the theoretical and problem solving areas. I was able to learn about not only the deep background of physics, but also how it can be applied today. I was also able to develop a concrete understanding of problem solving concepts that had been unclear to me before. For example, prior to the class, I barely understood the concept of projectile motion despite being familiar will all the formulas. However, after watching my teacher go about solving a plethora of different problems involving this concept, I was able to solidify my own understanding of it. I feel like the online format was not an issue for me since I have been online learning through the pandemic."

"Awesome Math is really awesome! It is the best math class I took outside of school. The length for each class is just right so the teacher can go over many math problems, and the format is perfect, so I could learn all major subjects of math including number problems, algebra, combinatorics, geometry, etc. I was allowed to switch from level 2 to level 1, which is the perfect level for me. The classes don't repeat what I learned from school, instead, they make me become smarter by thinking outside of the box, and by coming up with faster and simpler ways to solve problems, building on the concepts I learned from school. For example, I would easily give up solving for 2020!*2021! /(2019!*2021!) since it would take forever to calculate in the normal way I learned from school. But Awesome Math showed me to solve this problem within seconds with just one simple step. After a full year of learning with Awesome Math, I become a more logical thinker. The teachers carefully select representative problems from math competitions in previous years to go over during classes. I can watch the class recordings when I had to miss certain classes due to my volleyball tournaments, so I don't really miss any classes. I will definitely continue with Awesome Math next year with level 2."

"I took Level 1 Physics class. It has helped me develop strong understanding of fundamental concepts. The best part is working on homework assignments. They were hard to start with. But as the classes progressed I started to enjoy solving these challenging assignments. I am also excited to learn that when I enter high school the knowledge base that I have developed will help me do well with AP Physics 1 and 2 exams. We were also able to download all lectures and notes that will help me more down the road. I also plan to attend Level 2 Physics class to deepen my knowledge. Thank you Awesome Math camp team!"

"AwesomeMath is by far the best mathamatical academies that I have taken. The instructors are helpful. The explanations in class were crystal clear. The problems were challenging and fun, and the homework was rigorous, but engaging and fair. Because of AwesomeMath, I have more confidence when taking mathamatical competitions, and I have also improved and developed mathematical strategies which I didn't even know existed prior to enrollment in this academy."
Smeeth T. (Texas)
"I recently took the Novice Problem Solving Level 2 AwesomeMath Academy Class, and I loved it! After taking this class, I was more confident to tackle hard problems. This class covered many topics such as Arithmetic Functions and Viete’s Relations. I liked the fact that there was a recording. I sometimes missed a class, and I could watch the recording to watch what happened in the class. Also, I would sometimes get stuck on the problem, and when I rewatched the recording, I would get a better idea of how to solve the problem. I would definitely take another AwesomeMath Academy Class!"
