Dr. Titu Andreescu
Lead Instructor, Advanced Problem Solvers:
Lead Instructor, Advanced Problem Solvers:
Dr. Titu Andreescu is an associate professor of mathematics in the Science and Mathematics Education department at the University of Texas at Dallas (UTD). Much of his career has been devoted to competition math, an efficient medium for teaching creative problem-solving for a wide-range of math topics. With over 30 years of experience teaching, coaching, and mentoring the brightest mathematical minds of our age at all levels, including being the primary coach for the International Mathematics Olympiad, Dr. Andreescu sought to bring this expertise to the Dallas area in the form of AwesomeMath Academy.

M. Tip Phaovibul
Lead Instructor, Intermediate & Advanced Problem Solvers:
Lead Instructor, Intermediate & Advanced Problem Solvers:
M. Tip earned his bachelor’s degree in Mathematics from California State University, Long Beach, in 2008, and completed his doctorate in Mathematics, specializing in number theory, at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 2014. From 2004 to 2008, he contributed as an assistant coach for the Long Beach Math Circle and the Southern California ARML team.
While at the University of Illinois, he served on the Undergraduate Math Competition Committee, where he helped train students for the Putnam Competition and other prestigious mathematical contests. Currently, he is an Associate Editor for USAMO/JMO, a Putnam Grader, a Problem Editor for the Fibonacci Quarterly journal, and a Faculty Mentor for PolyMath Jr.
Over the past decade, M. Tip has held various roles at AwesomeMath, starting as a teaching assistant and advancing to instructor. He now serves as the Academic Director of the AwesomeMath Summer Program and Lead Instructor for AwesomeMath Academy. His passion lies in teaching young students how to excel in mathematics competitions and inspiring them to explore advanced mathematical concepts.

Patrick McClintock
Lead Instructor, Novice & Beginner Problem Solvers:
Lead Instructor, Novice & Beginner Problem Solvers:
- Received Master’s degree in Mathematics after studying under Titu Andreescu at the University of Texas at Dallas
- Thesis in projective geometry and researching topology and complex analysis with a special interest in their geometric interpretations
- Serving as an Associate Editor for the AIME and writing several problems for the exam annually
- Professor at Collin College and private tutor
- Teaching competition math with AwesomeMath since 2014 at the Summer Program and as a Lead Instructor for the AwesomeMath Academy
He loves helping students see the joy in math through subtle solutions to complex problems, and introducing them to the deeper concepts that underlie those problems. He finds no greater joy than working with a student who is eager to learn.

Branislav Kisačanin
Physics Problem Solving Instructor:
Physics Problem Solving Instructor:
Dr. Branislav Kisačanin created and teaches AwesomeMath Academy Olympiad Physics Problem Solving online classes. As a high school student in former Yugoslavia he successfully participated in math and physics competitions and grew up to be a highly regarded expert for applications of computer vision and artificial intelligence in autonomous driving. He works as a computer scientist at Nvidia Corporation. Dr. Branislav published five books on computer vision and control theory and was a guest editor for several special issues of top computer vision journals. In his spare time, he is a passionate teacher of competitive math and physics at the AwesomeMath Summer Programs and at the AwesomeMath Academy. In that arena, Dr. Branislav published four books on competitive math and physics, with two more currently in the pipeline, and has created three levels of competitive physics courses at the AwesomeMath Academy. His physics students have won a number of medals at the USAPhO competition. His book on competitive physics, “F=ma Contests: 2011-2019 Official Solutions Manual” (co-authored with his double USAPhO Gold Medalist student Eric K.Zhang) is available as a free download on the AAPT web site: https://www.aapt.org/physicsteam/2020/pastexams.cfm.
